3 ways to evade writers block

Hello readers,

I am back with another post and this time I will tell 3 effective ways to get over your writers block! So what exactly is writer’s block?

It is basically something that writers face when they see effective decrease in their creative and writing process. It may be due to lack of motivation or less amount of inspiration. But! That doesn’t really mean that it can’t be cured. I will remind you that this situation is by no means a reflection of your skill or commitment towards your work. It’s a primary phase which almost all authors go through atleast once in their journey. And! It by no means shows your inability to write, just that currently your creative juices aren’t kicking in.

So here’s some tips that might help you get over it or prevent it.

Don’t stick to the routine

Most of the people who believe that writing should be an everyday routine face this issue more prominently due to lack of inspiration. Nevertheless, being regular with something you love isn’t bad in itself but what’s not healthy is when you write out of routine and not out of fun. That’s truly not helping. Make a routine, write often but make time to do something else you love to keep the creative juices moving in your head!

Who knows you might break the confusion you had for the climax scene of your book while you are cooking!! That is a plausible example,no?

No book stuffing

Okay, a lot of people take breaks when they face writers block because they can no longer understand where their words are taking them. So, take that break but use it effectively. Read a couple of books with genre you generally don’t read and keep in touch with the books. Don’t cut off completely because that’s where you will come back to eventually, right? So it will be harder if you completely cut off. So no book stuffing to your closet, just be at your pace and do some light reading.

Improve your relationship with words

Take this time to improve your past works, though I don’t mean it literally. This is a metaphor. For instance, you wrote a certain book on investment, let’s say “how to increase your investment income”, so go back and read your own book, don’t make changes, just analyse. Would I have given more information? Did I do justice to my work? How did I begin to write this book? And questions of the sort.

The main aim here is to gain your motivation back to keep writing, not to actually redo your past works! And when you make peace with the fact that this phase isn’t a stoppage for you, but just a passage you need to pass, then it gets easier!

Don’t worry if you are currently facing writer’s block, this is temporary and your skill as a writer is permanent! So just focus on that!

I hope this post will help you ease out in the process. If you have any thoughts you want to share, don’t forget to leave a comment down below!

Till next post!

With love and hope,
